Yes! I can't wait! The trailers that I've seen make it look better than the second one was. I loved the second one because I love the Pirates movies in general, but I think the third will be better.

well i saw it last night, and i thought it was good, but they definitely could have done a better job. a lot of things weren't explained very well. Jack Sparrow could have had a better part, he wasn't as funny as he was in the last 2. all together, i think it was OK, not wonderful. but i enjoyed it.

I thought it was good, slightly sillier at times than it needed to be, but with lots of purely funny parts too. I absolutely despise the way they ended it, however. I kept thinking of different ways it could end while I was watching it, trying to decide which way it would be, and IT WASN'T ANY OF THEM!!! And all of my ways were all better than what they did. And they had everything set up perfectly for it to end those different ways too....but they didn't!! I honestly don't know why they did what they did. It was completely unecessary. Also, I didnt come away feeling like I had watched a sequel to the first (neither did I, actually, after the second one either). The two sequels just felt so different than the 1st to me, and I don't really feel like they were all part of the same story. Anyway, up until the end the 3rd one was good. Very entertaining, anyway.

special effects were off the charts, story-line was rather weak, the ending needed some work, the fight scenes were excellent, Calypto needed to have a much bigger role...and stuff. it seemed like the 2nd two were there own series by themselves, like there was pirates of the carribian, then there was, * the quest for the heart of davey jones parts 1 and 2*

I agree about the 2nd and 3rd being their own thing. they had the same characters and setting, but other than that they were completley different.

Yeah, they set up the three movies like Back to the future was done, except there was no success at the end of 2 this time. The third, I thought, was better than the second, but still needed work for it's plot to be on par with the first. I did like the ending, for the most part, although I don't think they directed it well, making it a lot worse than it could have been. All in all, I say the movie finished what it started in Pirates 2 with a pretty good wrap up.
P.S. Norrington kissed the girl. WOOT! Yeah, he died three seconds later, but, oh well...

I didn't really like how the movie ended... but I enjoyed watching it. There was some pointless things in the movie. And overdone silliness, but it was a good movie.

At least it wasn't as silly as the second one was, no?
I still can't figure out how they made insane Jack MORE insane. lol That's amazing.
