just out of curiosity... do dos programs work under windows xp? I tried to look at ZZT on my new computer and it wouldn't open.
Anyone know about this?

it should work, if not maybe open MSDOS mode.
(if you can remember how to use it)

It works on my dad's XP computer , it should work on yours.

We have XP professional, and ZZT works... The differences between professional and home shouldn't affect DOS programs...

i put zzt on the computer with windows xp yesterday... and i'll test it today to see if it wordks

I've already tested ZZT on windows XP. The only difference I noticed was that the PC speaker sounds are played through the sound card, and the speakers. It sounds almost the same, but you can ajust the volume, etc.

yep - and personaly i think that's nicer... ZZT runs for me on Windows XP, but The AE crashed my comp when i tried some stuff with it

Lol, just program in ZZT... Or download another editor.
I will be programming a windows ZZT editor myself, so when that comes out, you can try using it.
