ok, Sarah, my twin sister, has been bugging me to post a poem that I wrote, so here goes. originally it was a shape poem (ya know, like written in a star shape) but i can't do that on here, so I'll just write it out. Stars, they are a wonder, a marvel
giant spheres of light
out in the darkness
lighting the sky for all to see
They give companionship to the moon, a lonely being
they give us joy in their many shapes and sizes
we see flying horses, strong men and even scorpions in their intricate design.
Stars are an inspiration for artists and writers
they are used to navigate through choppy seas and frozen arctic lands
We map our futures using stars
and look to them for lasting comfort.well that's it.....it's ok, not wonderful, but as everyone (well almost everyone) knows, i don't write poetry!  |

I read this as "Benana's one and only poem" and was like "Ok, I know where that joke came from now, but why would he post it on GG?"

oh, Sorry to confuse you! who is benana? i wrote the poem, and my nickname is banana, so that's what i named it.

Benana is Ben, he regularly posts in the ruenscape section and I know him in real life.

ok, i'm sorry, i should have used my screen name at first.
I have another poem to post, but it is my sisters, not mine!
TREES
Trees can be lush and green, or dark, parched and cracked.
Trees can keep their leaves year round, or loose them in a flash,
Of color that is so beautiful, its too bad it cannot last!
No matter what they look like, what kind, what shape, what color.
They all arrived on earth for their purpose and none other.
We need to be protective of these trees that were meant to be.
We need them here to make oxygen and warmth for you and me.
Instead we cut them down without a thought or a care,
Of what the earth might be like, if all of it were bare.
Please think about the earth, the only one we have,
And learn what you can do to help it and not destroy,
The earth, it has been lent to us,
Its not ours its not a toy!
