I want this to be a debate, so when you vote also post what you voted for. And if you haven't read the book then just post who your favorite character from the movie was so we can debate that too.

In my oppinion: Saphira - Okay Eragon - Pretty Good Brom - He was supposed to be older... Murtagh - Erm... Aria - No Durza - Durza was pretty good if I remember correctly Angela - No Nasuada - Didn't she just have a tiny part in the movie? I'll refrain from voting now, as it's been a while since I watched the movie or read the book. I'm leaning towards voting for Durza though, I think.

I'd watch the movie, but overall it looked pretty bad.

ohhhhhh myyyyyyy gooooosssshhhhh, this was like the lamest movie ever. it barely even resembled the book, if the book and the movie didn't have the same name, finding the resembence would take decades. none of the characters seemed very much at all like they were in the book...wait, scratch that, garrow's character did exactly what he did in the book, he died.

garrow's character did exactly what he did in the book, he died. Well technically speaking he did die, but not like he did in the book. He died after a few days in the book, where in the movie he was either dead when Eragon found him, or was killed when Brom burned down the farm(of course that would mean that Brom burned Garrow alive!!). And I think that most everyone was played very, VERY POORLY!! in the movie, alot of the people did not even look the same. So I voted for Durza! Considering that he looked the same, and acted mostly the same(other then a couple of interesting spells). My second choice was Nasuada because she did mostly the same in the book and movie, practically nothing. But since she had such a small role in both I chose to vote for a more prominent role instead, Being Durza.

The movie would be better I think if you haven't read the book, because then you don't have the genius of Christopher Paolini's words to compare it to, but it wasn't quite as bad as Dillon says: it was fun even if it wasn't the best movie ever made.
I agree that alot of people didn't look right but things like Eragon's hair color and even Aria's hair color didn't seem to me to be as big a flop as Aria's entire character (Murtagh's too for that matter). I mean where did this whispery, girly, Eragon-is-so-cute-and-I-just-can't-help-being-attracted-to-him person come from? (I'm talking about Aria, not Murtagh) She was much stronger, more independent, and almost indifferent to Eragon in the book. Murtagh looked almost right, the things that bothered me were that he didn't tell Eragon his secret (don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it but for those who have, I'm sure you know what I mean) and that he offered to take Eragon to the Varde, which was the last thing he wanted to do in the book. Alot of people think he is really cute in the movie, and while he is not bad I think he looked cuter on the poster and I think he looked WAY cuter the way i imagined him when reading the book.

you're right about Christopher Paolini being a genius......well when it comes to the Inheratence trilogy that is!!!!! That's soooo funny how you describe Murtargh being cute!!!! lol lol lol (i'm reading it aloud to sarah, which makes it 10 times funnier) and you are TOTALLY right about Arya......SHE WAS AWFUL IN THE MOVIE!!!!! she really bugged me (sarah says that the feather was gruesome!!) I don't know how they will make the next movie. oh, and YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THE NEXT BOOK ALEX!!!! ;D

I decided to vote for Durza after all. None of the other characters really matched what I had imigined from reading the book.

Saphira - Okay Eragon - Good Brom - Okay Murtagh - Meh... Not that good Aria - Horrible Durza - okay Angela - Horrible Nasuada - She wasn't really in the movie.
Hrm.. I think I'm going to go with Eragon, I think he was probably the best. I hated this movie though.... not good at all.
