Hey I have a suggestion, why don't we make the trading thread a sub-board? that way we don't have to dive through a post ridden thread to find what we need/want. So for example, say I'm looking for a guthix kite shield, (which in reality i am) instead of reading tons of posts, seeing if that one item rests among the others, we could instead just make a thread within the sub board titled, for example: "Selling guthix kite". Then we could post our offers. The only problem with this is if everybody made a new thread for every item they're selling, which would be annoying.
Suggestion no.2 would be that we could each make a post within that sub-board that would be like our own little store, advertising all our wares if posting about a single item is impractical.
What do you think?
(feel free to move this thread if need be)

Then we could post our offers. The only problem with this is if everybody made a new thread for every item they're selling, which would be annoying. Thats a good idea, I agree with it at least. When the runescape section was created, we didn't have sub board capabilities, which may be the reason it came out in a thread... I don't think I should do anything until Josh (Happy Camper, Total Rouge, whatever) comes back though. Suggestion no.2 would be that we could each make a post within that sub-board that would be like our own little store, advertising all our wares if posting about a single item is impractical. There are a few problems with this one. First of all, if everyone made thier own thread, what if one got filled up with spam? That person would have a hard time selling anything. Second of all, say we got more Green Gamers that also played runescape... So we have more then a page of threads that each belong to a spacific person. People could easily get lost. This leads to problem number 3: say there are 19 threads that only have a name... How do you know if someone is selling what you want? you have to swim through ALL the posts in each thread, looking for an item that matches what you want and isn't sold already. Now if people posted a thread "Selling such and such", then you can know right by the title if they will be selling what you want or not (at least most of the time - there are bank sales and such that don't tell you what is in there in the title). Also, when someone sold what they had posted the thread to sell, it could be locked and would be pushed off of the page, but if everyone had thier own thread, it would be destined to remain and clutter the threads that everyone looked at.

So perhaps, with a sub-board, we could hold threads about different stuff, like a "fish trade thread", and a "Food thread", and a "mine, smith, craft, thread". As a cool bonus, we could list price guides that tell people what stuff is worth.

The one problem is... We can't put a sub board in a sub board, so all sub boards of the RuneScape section would have to be under the RuneScape section directly... So we'll probably just get one sub board

Yah. One board with individual threads on the different classifications.
