ness is cool, im pretty sure he is the only character with an ability to at least kinda heal himself. roy and marth are really cool, counter attacks are great, and attack chains do masive damage, so fun!

Well you know, technically Mr. Game and Watch can heal himself. You just have to get that lucky 7 hammer, and right out of thin air will appear a nice piece of food. Oh, and Roy and Marth's counters still aren't as good as Mario/Dr. Mario's, Cape/Sheet.

i dunno about that. you have to be facing the enemy to block things with the cape, the counter works from anywhere.

Well actually Mario/Dr. Mario's cape works to deflect things coming from behind, above, below, and in front of you, so I'm going to have to say Mario/Dr. Mario wins when it comes to reflecting.

seriously? that both makes no sence and is really cool, he really should do a 360 spin with his cape if it can block things from behind. marth and roy's counter is still really fun.

Yeah, (Dr.) Mario's cape is way powerful, which doesn't make much sense, but is neverthelesss cool. Ice Climbers are fun to play once you learn how to play them. Ness, I think, was a better character in the first game, but he's still got some punch now that he has psi Flash, and his psi Magnet (absorb) is still original, making him a fun character.
Everything considered, I have trouble getting away from my usual Link character, because I enjoy how balanced he is, plus his huge arsenal of long distance weapons. Most character's only have one or two, but Link has three, plus his hookshot grab. Plus, timing his spin attack just right can cause an opponent to fall in a way that he can't recover from, (which is almost as enjoyable as Samus's spike.)
Is anyone here good with Ganondorf? He and DK are the only characters I haven't learned to play decently.
Peach is fun, but uber lightweight. She's one of the most original characters since she can float by holding up (or jump button) when you jump, but her attacks are kind of bland. I enjoy learning how the different turnips work, and squeal (not really) with joy every time I'm so lucky as to pull out a Bob-omb. I'm still learning how to use her Toad reflector, but it seems to be able to reflect both certain physical and special attacks, which is different than the others, but it ca, only reliably reflect from the front, making it harder to use than the rest, much like G&W's counter.
Finally, Zelda is an interesting character to master, and is what I probably should work most on. Both Zelda and Sheik have a good arsenal of both long and short range attacks, making her a Jack-of-all-trades. The weakness they both share, though, is they're lighter than most other humanoid characters, making taking damage not an option. She is potentially a very useful character, but would take some mastery.
Is there anyone here that is better with Pichu than Pikachu? I am interested in what techniques they might be able to share.

Well I for one am better with Pichu then Pikachu, although I don't know what techniques I can share. Ohh here's one, don't get hit and try to never actually get hit by your thunder. And I half disagree with the comment about Zelda/Sheik being light weight, in my opinion just Zelda is light weight and Sheik is not. Plus Sheik has a fast falling speed making it even harder to fly very high. But I do agree that Zelda/Sheik is a Jack-0f-all-trades, which is probably why I like to play as Her/Them so much.

That's true. Sheik's falling rate is extreme, making her handy for certain fighting styles and necessities. Still, she seems to not handle high percentages as well as most hunanoids. Altogether, I find her invaluable to the Nintendo cast. ^_^

Well we just did several tests with Sheik and found that she takes damage just about as well as Link. So from what I've seen she can take a good amount of damage ;D

Of course all the attacks we used were from Ganondorf. Maybe that just proves that Ganondorf is really, really strong. ;D
