Nope, not for that part of the dance. There the guys just go down on one knee and clap in time to the music while the girls stand behind them and swirl their skirts a few times.

That is just kind of creepy. Of course it's not as creepy as it could have been. You could have put a man in the dress. I wonder how many people would come to see that?

How could anyone love that picture? It think it looks a bit... what's the word... "demented". But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

No, I'm saying that the thought of the picture is demented. Why wouldn't a picture of a girl dressed like a man be demented?

*cough*SPAM*cough* Well obviously your not looking at the picture in the same context I am. When your young, dressing like the opposite gender is fine. Once you know better, it is just wrong. Unless you play the part very badly and everyone can obviously tell that you aren't really a man/woman. Honestly, I didn't know that Kayla was in the picture, and I thought it was a man until I knew otherwise.

I agree with Hannah, the picture does not look demented and She doesnt really want to be man, its just a play and she was just acting. She knows she is a girl, She is happy to be a girl She is proud to be a girl and what guy would wear pink anyway? when someone really wants to be the opposite gender then there is a problem. demented is a little harsh dont you think?

yes! I love that picture also! hmm the hat looks smaller in the picture.

Now, you did say but also, I never said that she was demented, I said that the picture looked demented. You also said Yes, and No. I think that it is a problem when you want to be to opposite gender, and no I don't think that demented was to "harsh" of a term. When you have to use a woman to play a man's part I think you have a problem with your play. Oh, and one more thing. Dom, and Dom's mom. Look stuff up before you start making your own uneducated statements.

...Arguing in a thread that was ment for pictures isn't getting us anywhere. Let's try not get too fired up over one silly photo.
look, the pic itself IS kinda demented if you look at it the way Dark is, and there is a difference with looking demented and being demented. He ment the PIC looked demented, he's not saying Laura and i are. (and we certainly aren't)
And it was only acting. It was fun.
I was going to post a pic of Moo (our inside cat) but it wasn't wanting to work. So i'll try again soon.

Oh my goodness, it's just a pic, guys. Wow. We live in a sensative world, don't we? There isn't something wrong with the play, there's just something wrong with guys. Let me explain.... This is not the first time a girl had to dress up as a guy for the dances; they used to do it all the time for the play simply because guys thought they were too cool to do something stupid like dancing in a play. It's a continuous problem that always leaves us short on guys, which leaves us with only one solution: the one we used. You could argue that we could just not dance, but they need a certain number of dancers or the pattern of the dance is thrown completely off and it ruins everything. So we should rechoreograph the dances, perhaps....Sure, except they have to be based off dances that really took place in California in 1850. I think it was actually rather resourceful, and only 'demented' if you care to think like the demented people of society that have to twist everything they see. And actually it would have been perfectly acceptable to not have dressed her up as a guy and just had her dance with me as a girl, because they did that back then, but again that would look 'demented' to people today. Since everyone in the play is dressing up and being something they're not anyway, it really is no big deal. It just earns a lot of laughs. And that's fun. From the audiance you can't tell a difference anyway, and that's all that matters. I guess my point is, to be on topic, that I think the picture is great aside from the fact that it really doesn't look like me. (And I'm planning on posting a pic, but I can't seem to find it....)
