I speak two, and I'm not going to put in racial/nationality slurs.

I think your taking that a little too personally. I mean it is a mostly true joke in the sense that most Americans can only speak one language. But I respect your opinion, and if you don't like it then lets just not use it, then we can all get along. ;D

Not me, I think it's actually sorta funny. But the thing is if a guest saw that and was an American he or she might feel offended. I just don't want to put up something that's likely to offend someone.

I was just wondering, Can we put something Christmas related in the News Fader? Maybe something at the end like...
"Don't forget: Have a Merry Christmas!"
Just a suggestion.

I was just wondering, Can we put something Christmas related in the News Fader? Maybe something at the end like... "Don't forget: Have a Merry Christmas!" Just a suggestion. No one has made any kind of response at all to this suggestion, and Christmas is only 8 days away. No offense, but it seems like you Admins have been acting "indolent" in your duties. I mean, would it be that hard to respond to suggestions? I myself think that it would be a great idea to put "Merry Christmas" into the news fader.

I don't celebrate Christmas. No.

I'm sorry, but I am going to have to respectfully disagree with your absolute no on saying "Merry Christmas". You see even though you don't celebrate Christmas, that doesn't mean that you have to prevent other people from hearing it. One thing that I thought should be brought to the attention of everybody was Green Games Rule #4.
Now I don't know about everyone else. But I think that not allowing Merry Christmas in the News Fader is not only disrespectful for everyone that celebrates Christmas, but it's also disrespectful to God. So, I am going to ask again, please put Merry Christmas somewhere in the News Fader.

There is nothing biblical about Christmas, it's not even Christ's birthday. Do your homework before making false claims. However, I'd sooner lock the thread than start a flame war about religion. I suggest you drop it. Merry Christmas will not be put into the news fader under any circumstances.

Hey, sorry, I didn't mean any offense with my post. Although I suspect there may have been some misunderstanding on your part, or miscommunication on mine. Also, I didn't mean to thrust my believes on to you so hard like that. I realize that not everyone celebrates Christmas, and that doesn't make them a bad person. Again I'm sorry if you took offense to my post because I really didn't mean to cause any trouble.
I don't mind if you don't put Merry Christmas, into the news fader, but what if we put something like "Happy Holidays" in the news fader? It shouldn't offend anybody, but it still represents whatever you may be celebrating.

Wow... humm, easy there guys, I guess I kind of jumped into something in the lounge that I knew nothing about... Interesting... Anywho, if I may put my two cents in; I barely notice the 'news fader' anyways, but when I do sit and read it it doesn't really have any "News" . I admit I don't post a lot, but I do come in and read what you guys say and if the 'news fader' had some 'news, news' (jezz, thats a weird word.....) about a particular thread, I (or other people) might be more likely to post. (For example, if you put something like: "give us your opinion on the new *blank* game in the game cube thread" or "what will be the fate of 'Evil Josh' in Josh's goof off house?") IDK, just a suggestion.

The News Fader is currently, for lack of a more understandable word... vapid. ;D Well anyway, I thought I would suggest a new joke for the news fader that I heard on Mythbusters. Q: What's red, and smells like blue paint? Scroll Down \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ A: Red paint.
